Bluefield, WV (WOAY) – Bluefield high school football is two wins away from its second straight Class AA state championship, with the Beavers being led by multiple contributors, including Jamere “Juice” Edwards.
The senior surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the season last Saturday in the Beavers’ quarterfinal win over Keyser, with teammate JJ Davis also having reached that milestone. The two provide multiple options to the offense, not unlike Mookie Collier & Truck Edwards a year ago.
Bluefield hosts Bridgeport Friday in a rematch of last year’s semifinals. The winner of that game will play the winner of Weir-Fairmont Senior in the Super Six.
Hear from Edwards and Bluefield head coach Fred Simon.
