Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Raleigh County and Fayette County schools both say they have received approval to cut five instructional days from their schedule.
The last day of school for Raleigh County is June 8. The last day of school for Fayette County is May 28.
Due to the severe winter weather this year, schools around the region had to cancel school more days than they had budgeted for.
The state allowed school districts to request a waiver of the 180-day requirement.
Multiple districts in our viewing area requested the waiver. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
