We’re tracking a few rain showers this morning, and it’s likely we’ll see a few more throughout the day. Many folks are waking up to fog, and there may also be some leftover debris from last night’s isolated flooding—so take it slow and stay cautious on the roads this morning.
Today marks the last main day of rain across the region in the short-term. A few showers are expected this morning, with the chance for additional storms later this afternoon. While the widespread flooding threat has decreased, our saturated soils mean that even brief heavy rain could lead to localized flooding—especially where water may still be running over roadways.
By tonight and into Thursday, we’ll finally get a break from the rain. This dry stretch should give the ground a chance to recover before we turn our attention to more rain heading into the weekend. In the meantime, as skies clear, temperatures will rise—expect highs in the mid to upper 80s as we head into the end of the week.
