BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Lake Stephens Campground will open on June 1st for the season.
Cabins rentals, marina, and other shore area activities will resume on June 1st. Lake Stephens Campground is currently taking reservations for camping and cabins.
Superintendent Bill Pritchard says the campground has a lot of work ahead of them but they’re excited about the reopening.
“I think that it will be a good thing for the community. Everybody has been isolated for so long I think that as long as we all use our heads and get back out here and use a little common sense, I believe the lake opening back up will be a great thing,” said Pritchard.
As a part of the reopening process, Lake Stephens Campground is also hiring.
