Laela’s Hope Cat Rescue and Pet Supply Plus celebrate 50 cat adoptions since partnering

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)- Laela’s Hope Cat Rescue has been partnered up with Pet Supply Plus in Beckley since early January to help get cats adopted. The rescue, named after Debbi Miller’s own cat who was also a foster, works hard to find these cats a home.

“I’ve always been a cat lover, had cats my whole life, ever since I could remember. I volunteered at the Humane Society of Raleigh County for a good 10-12 years and just saw the need for the community to have a cat rescue,” said Debbi Miller, Founder of Laela’s Hope Cat Rescue. “We have several dog rescues around, but we really didn’t have anybody focused on the cats.”

I’m not kitten around when I say that they have officially hit over 50 cats adopted since they started together. They will be having a purrfect celebration to commemorate this milestone. This event will also act as a fundraiser and adoption event for the rescue. The team leader of the pet supply talks about why this partnership works.

“Debbie has been a regular customer of ours for a really long time, and we’ve really enjoyed our relationship with her and what she does through Laela’s Hope Cat Rescue,” said Beverly Fraylin, the store team leader at pet supply plus in Beckley. “Our cat units were sitting here empty we didn’t have a rescue partner for a little while. She approached me about maybe bringing cats in and she’s just a great person to work with all the way around.”

Now that they’ve had over 50 adoptions, their next goal is 100, and if you want to take one of these home before I do, then come on over to pet supplies plus where you can take home one of these lovely little fur babies.
