Kimball Fire Department hosting September 11th memorial this Friday

KIMBALL, WV (WOAY) – The Kimball fire department will be hosting its annual September 11th memorial this Friday afternoon.

Kimball held the first ceremony to honor victims of 9/11 in 2002. There will be a parade followed by a small service afterwards.

“We think it is important not only to honor those deaths, but also to teach our young what this it about, and the history,” said Kimball Chief of Police S.P. “Pat” McKinney. “(We want them) to know about the terror attacks and about the valor of those brave men who tried to save as many lives as they could that day.”

The Kimball fire department invites to community to attend the memorial at 7:00 this Friday.
