Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Heart to Heart International, a nonprofit based in Kansas City, is partnering with West Virginia Health Right to bring 250 doses of Tdap vaccine and 1,200 hygiene kits to West Virginians following recent flooding.
The organization helped West Virginia with flood relief efforts last year and is partnering again as communities begin the journey to recovery.
Hygiene kits help protect health and restore normalcy when families have lost access to basic necessities, and Tdap vaccines help safeguard against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis. These vaccines are especially important following flood events, when injuries and risk of exposure to these diseases increase.
