Elkview, WV (WOAY) In Kanawha County, a crash in Elkview sent one person to the hospital after a U-Haul left the roadway and slammed into a home on Tuesday.
Deputies say the truck crashed through the foundation and partially into the basement, causing both a water and gas leak.
Those utilities were shut off before crews began working the scene.
The driver suffered severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, while the homeowner, who was in another part of the house, was not hurt.
Witnesses say speed may have been a factor, and the investigation is ongoing with charges possible.
