Kanawha County seeking new Board of Education Member

Charleston, WV (WOAY)- In Kanawha County, a vacancy has opened on the Board of Education following the resignation of longtime board member and current president, Tracy White.  

Now, the Board is seeking to fill her seat. 

 Per West Virginia law, the vacancy must be filled within 45 days.  

The appointed member will serve the remainder of White’s term, ending June 30, 2026. 

To be eligible, applicants must live in Kanawha County, hold a high school diploma or GED, and not be employed by the school system.
