Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – An elderly man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Kanawha County early Monday morning.
According to a media release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, 86-year-old Dennis Eugene Taylor of Cross Lanes was struck by a vehicle just after 5 a.m. on a mobility. He was attempting to cross the street in the 100 block of Goff Mountain Road near the Gino’s.
He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
According to deputies on the scene, the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident remained on scene. No charges have been filed.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office
