Chelyan, WV (WOAY) A Kanawha County man is facing charges after deputies say he sexually assaulted a woman in Chelyan.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Monday, June 8, to a report of a sexual assault.
Investigators say 40-year-old James Lewis Craig Jr. approached two women in the parking lot of the Chelyan Post Office and followed them to their home.
Deputies say Craig refused to leave the property after being told to stay away, then exposed himself and forcibly touched one of the women before fleeing the scene.
Craig was later located and charged with first-degree sexual abuse.
A Kanawha County magistrate set his bond at $50,000 cash only.
