Braxton County, WV (WOAY) – A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Braxton County.
According to a press release from the West Virginia State Police, the crash happened on Wednesday June 11, 2025, at approximately 1:20 PM on Route 15 near the Gerald R. Freeman Campground.
The victim is identified as 62-year-old Jeffrey Robertson of Elkview, WV. Troopers say Robertson was headed west on state Route 15 when the motorcycle crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.
Robertson was pronounced dead on the scene.
The operator of the other vehicle was transported to Braxton Memorial Hospital and was treated for minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the West Virginia State Police.
