Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – Deputies are warning local businesses to be on the lookout for suspects passing counterfeit bills in Kanawha County.
Sheriff’s deputies are asking for help from the public to identify the suspect last seen with another male traveling in a black sedan, who is believed to be responsible for distributing counterfeit $100 bills, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
The two suspects are said to have passed the counterfeit cash at several businesses in the St. Albans area. Â They were last seen heading west towards Putnam County on U.S. Route 60.
Deputies are asking businesses to examine all money vigilantly and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
