Kanawha County deputies trying to locate missing Georgia truck driver

Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – Kanawha County deputies are trying to locate a Georgia man reported missing after his truck broke down in West Virginia.

According to a media release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old Eric Macon of Georgia is believed to have gone missing between June 26 and July 2 after his tractor trailer broke down in Kanawha County.

Speaking with investigators from the sheriff’s office, Macon’s family said he had been staying at a hotel in the Cross Lanes area. They last heard from him on June 29th and are concerned for his well-being.

Eric Macon is described as black male that stands about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. He has the name “Chico” tattooed on his forearm.
