Fairlea, WV (WOAY) – Greenbrier East senior Joey Powell will continue his football career at the collegiate level, signing a letter of intent Wednesday to play at Concord.
Powell was one of the key contributors on both offense and defense for the Spartans, playing a vital role as the team ended a playoff drought of nearly two decades in 2015.
He says many factors went into choosing the Mountain Lions, including the chance to stay in Southern West Virginia. Powell plans to major in business.
