Bolt, WV (WOAY)- October 1, 2025, marks 32 years without answers in the disappearance of Angela Cherice Gwinn Stephens.
In 1993, she vanished without a trace from the Bolt area.
One month later, her car turned up at her husband’s workplace with the keys tucked under the sun visor.
For years, whispers circulated that Cherice might be hidden in a church septic tank.
After relentless pressure from her family, the site was finally searched, only to prove she wasn’t there.
For more than three decades, her case has haunted southern West Virginia and drawn national attention.
Still, the question remains: where is Cherice?
In her memory, investigators are renewing calls for information.
On October 1, for the next 90 days, the Gwinn family is offering a $50,000 reward for her skeletal remains.
If you know anything, you’re urged to contact Crime Stoppers of West Virginia at (304) 255-7867, or mail information to P.O. Box 131, Glen Jean, West Virginia, 25846Â
