Inmate at Mt. Olive Correctional Facility tests positive for COVID-19

MT. OLIVE, WV (WOAY) – An inmate at the Mt. Olive Correctional Facility in Fayette County has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the West Virginia DHHR, on Sunday, August 16, 2020, there was one active inmate case of COVID-19 at the facility.  Currently, two tests are pending. Eight people are in quarantine.

Statewide, 18 employees have tested positive for the virus.

Southern Regional Jail is showing one positive case at its facility.
