Inaugural Rhododendron Roll coming up at Governor’s Mansion

Charleston, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia Governor Morrisey and the First Lady will host a first of its kind event in Charleston, WV this month.

According to a post on the Governors Facebook page, West Virginians are invited to attend the Inaugural Rhododendron Roll on Saturday April 12, 2025. The family-friendly Easter celebration begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. on the Governor’s Mansion Courtyard and Capitol Lawn at the State Capitol Complex.

Activities planned for the Rhododendron Roll: Easter egg hunts, Egg rolls, Photo-ops with the Easter Bunny, Yard games, Food trucks, Petting Zoo, Face painting and Balloon artists.

The event is free and open to the public! The first 250 guests will receive a commemorative Easter egg.
