Huntington, WV (WOAY) – 25-year-old Khali Marquise Barnes of Huntington has pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to court documents, on January 9th, 2023, law enforcement conducted a home compliance check at Barenes’ home and found a loaded Glock 19 9mm handgun in his bed.
Barnes admitted that it was his.
Felons can’t have guns or ammunition because of his prior conviction of conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery in Cabell County Circuit Court on August 10th, 2021.
Barnes will be sentenced on July 28th, 2025, and faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
