Cabell County, WV (WOAY) – A 21-year-old Huntington man has been sentenced to a year and six months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release for selling a firearm to a felon.
Court records state that on April 23, 2025, Dylan James Pettyjohn sold a pistol to a confidential informant for $150.
Pettyjohn confirmed he arranged the sale, conducted it, and that the informant told him he was a convicted felon.
Pettyjohn also confirmed the sale of another pistol for $600 and a rifle for $650 to the same confidential informant.
Pettyjohn is among seven individuals indicted following a federal investigation into drug trafficking in the Huntington area.
