Shady Spring, WV (WOAY) – Shady Spring boys basketball renewed a Raleigh County rivalry Tuesday when they hosted Independence.
Both teams received recognition in the latest Class AA rankings, and the teams played a close first quarter, with the Patriots leading 13-9 after the first eight minutes. However, the Tigers rallied to win 50-42 and extend their win streak to three games.
Jon Sawyers led the Tigers with 14 points, while Logan Cook & Michael Holt each had 12. Dylan Dickens scored 14 points for Independence.
