How to prepare for Bridge Day as a guest

Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – If you are one of the many who plan to attend Bridge Day, there are a few things to keep in mind to help things run smoothly.

Attendees should expect a lot of walking; one could easily walk 2 to 4 miles if they experience the entire festival.

Dress for all four seasons. Fall days start off chilly but can warm up rather dramatically.

No dogs are allowed, so leave your little buddy at home.

Bags smaller than 5 inches by 7 inches are allowed; however, anything bigger than that will require a clear bag.

State police and the sheriff’s department will be on site with metal detecting wands and checking bags. Visitors can be turned away.

Parking at any big event is always an issue. Organizers have set up multiple parking areas with shuttles that will have a $5 fee.
