How to lower the cost of Prom

It is Prom season. A time that many teens look forward to for years.

However, while it is a wonderful time, it can easily cost you a pretty penny.

Chase Bank says a recent Visa study shows that promposals cost, on average, over $300, and the full prom experience is over $900.

To limit costs, you can list all the prom expenses to give you an idea of how much you will spend.

From there, you should narrow the list to see where you can splurge and where you can cut costs, like renting your outfit or driving your own car instead of renting a limo.

You should also stick to the budget.

If you are in a group, you can appoint a designated planner to collect money from everyone to make a single payment.

Make sure to discuss the costs in advance.
