Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – Crews worked to extinguish an Oak Hill fire about 2:30 pm Wednesday (June 4).
We don’t know all the details yet, as it’s under investigation.
It happened at a trailer located along Berry Street.
I saw personnel from the Oak Hill Fire Department, Mount Hope Fire Department, Fayetteville Fire Department, the West Virginia Division of Forestry, and Jan Care.
“We got dispatched for a fully involved house fire. When we arrived on scene, we had one fully involved single-wide trailer,” said Oak Hill Fire Department Engineer/Firefighter John McGinnis. “That’s all we know right now. This is an active investigation that we’ll turn over to the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s office.”
