On Monday, April 21, SR/Trooper L.A. Wriston responded to a call stating there was a domestic in progress at Orefield Road in Kanawha County.
When Wriston arrived on the scene, he saw the house engulfed in flames. After gathering information, Wriston determined that 41-year-old Jason Elliot of Tad set his house on fire and then fled the scene. Soon, Elliot emerged from the woods and was detained without issue. Elliot had mulitple burn wounds to his body and was transported by EMS for treatment.
Trooper Wriston will obtain warrants for Elliot for 3 counts of felony destruction of property, two counts of 1st degree arson, and 1 count of 3rd degree arson.
