OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – This Friday, the Honeysuckle Hill Nature Discovery Center will be holding a garden workshop class where patrons can work on their ideas for garden landscapes.
Terri Johnson, the director of the Discovery Center, is excited about the program. She claims it will give beginner gardeners and landscapers a detailed look into the process of building gardens from vague ideas. She also says the Discovery Center is working on more educational opportunities in the future.
“We are in the beginning processes of turning this place into an outdoor education center. And we’ve already offered workshops, we did wreath making, and we’ve done birding. We’re going to provide all sorts of programs for any age person, from little children to fully-grown adults,” Johnson said.
The garden workshop will be held this Friday evening and costs ten dollars per person, and supplies will be provided.
