It’s the season of giving, and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is making it easier for local shoppers with free gift wrapping services. But behind the colorful wrapping paper and bows leaves a deeper mission, giving back to the community.
The gift wrapping service is free, but donations are encouraged. Contributions go towards helping out a local youth organization, Active Southern West Virginia. ASWV is a non-profit that provides an ecosystem of physical activity for residents of southern West Virginia. They do this by offering programs led by trained volunteers from within the communities they serve.
If you feel a little guilty about having someone else wrap your presents, don’t worry – the team at the chamber is happy to do it. For them its all about spreading holiday cheer and helping the community.
So if wrapping presents isn’t your strong suit, and you have a couple dollars to spare – bring your gifts over to the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce to get your gifts wrapped and help out the Active Southern West Virginia kids run club.
