BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The holiday spirit is taking center stage in Beckley as Theatre West Virginia presents its annual production of A Christmas Carol at the Raleigh Playhouse and Theatre.
The timeless Charles Dickens story follows Ebenezer Scrooge as he discovers the true meaning of Christmas through visits from three ghostly spirits. This year’s performance is a one-act show lasting about an hour, offering both lighthearted moments and heartfelt meaning.
A Christmas Carol runs December 11–14 at the Raleigh Playhouse in downtown Beckley. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on December 11, 12, and 13, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 14. Tickets will be available at the box office on the day of each performance.
Ebenezer Scrooge actor Michael Martin encourages anyone who hasn’t experienced this holiday classic to come out and enjoy what he says is a “Christmas card to the community.”
