Hinton, WV (WOAY) Leaders of REACHH Family Resource Center in Hinton are inviting the community to an open house on Friday, May 1, at noon.

Officials say the event will highlight recent renovations and new services made possible through nearly $800,000 in federal funding.

Executive director Felisha Hartwell says visitors can tour the facility and enjoy light refreshments.

Hartwell also thanked Senator Shelley Moore Capito and Congresswoman Carol Miller for supporting the grant, which helped improve energy efficiency and upgrade equipment across the center’s three historic buildings.

The non-profit, which has served Summers County families since 1986, provides a wide range of services including crisis intervention, counseling, and child advocacy.

Leaders say they’re now seeking additional funding to expand and enhance privacy at their child advocacy center.

REACHH Family Resource Center is located at 411 Temple Street in Hinton.
