Hinton celebrates 59th Anniversary of Railroad Days

HINTON, WV (WOAY) – Hinton Railroad Days is a beloved tradition that dates back decades. It’s a true railroad town that loves celebrating its heritage.

The beauty of the area and the wonderful people who live there make the event, which is packed with 124 vendors spread throughout town, as well as a kids’ zone, rides, great food, and music.

“Matt Bowen does a tremendous job. We have two stages, 24 bands playing over a three-day period, some quality talent coming in — local folks that play, and that means a lot,” said Mayor Jack Scott.

According to the mayor, one will also find established local food and traditions.

“We have clubs and organizations and churches that benefit from this as well,” Scott said. “So it’s a true community gathering and event for the family to come out and enjoy an afternoon in a beautiful little town.”
