Hinton accepting applications for City Manager role

Hinton, WV (WOAY)-  Hinton is officially launching its search for a new City Manager, and is accepting applications now.

The vacancy follows longtime City Manager Cris Meadows’ transition to Oak Hill’s City Manager.

The City Manager serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Hinton, responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing city departments, and implementing policies set by the City Council.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, budgetary expertise, and the ability to work closely with local, regional, and federal partners to move the city forward.

Applicants should have at least five years of senior-level management experience in government, with a background in public administration, business, or a related field.

Strong communication, people management, and economic development skills are essential.

Salary for the position ranges from $65,000 to $79,000 and is negotiable based on experience.
