Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – Appalachian Power Company is actively working to resolve a power issue impacting a local ski resort.
According to a media advisory from Winterplace Ski Resort, high winds from a storm overnight caused a power outage in the area. At this time, power is not expected to be restored until after noon.
Officials with the resort say they will make it up to guests once power is restored by honoring tickets on alternative dates or providing refunds.
WOAY will provide more information on when power is expected to be restored as it becomes available.
