Helping Hands reopens to the public

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – After weeks of being closed to the public, Helping Hands Community Resource Center in Beckley reopened last week.

Director Edna Nasby said since reopening they haven’t seen 90 percent of their clients. Helping Hands staff want to remind the public that hours of operation are from Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm. Nasby encourages members to stop by and pick up a food box.

“The food is the important thing that we wanted to emphasize. So we hope that they will hear and see that we’re back because we really miss them,” said Nasby.

All clients are required to wear a facemask in order to enter the building.
