HealthNet announces agreement with Raleigh County Memorial Airport

Charleston, WV (WOAY) – HealthNet Aeromedical Services is announcing the signing of a new five-year agreement with Raleigh County Memorial Airport.

The airport will continue to serve as a base for a dedicated medical helicopter on the airfield. The partnership between the two entities began in 2005 and has been crucial in providing critical care air medical services throughout the southern part of the State.

The Raleigh County Memorial Airport has fully renovated the crew base facilities since completing the new agreement. This allows HealthNet to provide staffing around the clock with a dedicated team consisting of a pilot, a flight paramedic and a flight nurse, giving the medical helicopter crew the opportunity to provide the highest standard of care and rapid response for medical emergencies.

Clinton Burley, president and CEO of HealthNet Aeromedical Services says, “we are delighted to continue our long-time collaboration with Raleigh County Memorial Airport,” he said. “Our partnership is strong, and the renovation of the crew base facility marks a mutual commitment and investment to providing top-tier critical care air medical services to the region.”

The medical helicopter based at the airport is an Airbus EC-145e, a state-of-the-art aircraft equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies. It is the largest and most capable medical helicopter serving southern West Virginia.
