BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Department of Transportation’s Parkways Authority announces that on Thursday, June 4, 2020, and Friday, June 5, 2020, there will be resurfacing that will require the closure of Harper Road (Exit 44) exit and entrance ramps along the West Virginia Turnpike.

This work will be performed from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. each night which will allow for normal traffic flow during daytime hours.

On Thursday, June 4, the Northbound exit and entrance ramps will be closed for resurfacing, while Friday, June 5, work will take place on the Southbound side.

During the closures, traffic will be routed to Exit 45 onto VanKirk Dr. (Tamarack), to Dryhill Rd. and onto Harper Rd. There will be Message Boards and signage to direct the traffic along this route. Alerts will be sent out each day to update progress and completion.
