Greenbrier River Trail Project begins January 25

Greenbrier County, WV (WOAY) We have an update on the Greenbrier River Trail project.

We previously reported that the area will undergo a major bridge redecking project over the next two years.

The work starts on January 25 and begins with a closure from the Harper Road access point to Anthony Road as crews redeck sections of the trail.

As the project moves forward, other sections of the trail will be temporarily closed and inaccessible to users.

Trail officials encourage the public to stay informed by regularly checking the Greenbrier River Trail Foundation’s website, where closure dates and affected areas will be posted as work progresses.

Officials ask for patience during the project, noting the improvements will enhance safety and extend the life of the trail.
