Greenbrier Historical Society & North House Museum hosting Candlelight Cemetery Tours kicking off on October 16

Lewisburg, WV (WOAY) – The Greenbrier Historical Society & North House Museum is in the spooky season spirit and invites you to an event where you can see some spirits.

If you’re looking for thrills with a twist, join the Candlelight Cemetery Tours kicking off this evening at 7:00 pm.  

The event is a candlelit tour of sections within two of Lewisburg’s historical cemeteries.

Attendees will learn the history of some of Lewisburg’s well-known grave markers and interesting details about the lives and deaths of those laid to eternal rest.

Greenbrier Historical Society staff will guide the guests and provide interesting facts from the archives, including local legends and lore.

The tour will end at The North House Museum with a private viewing of a special historical exhibit.

There will be an additional tours on Friday, October 17, and the following weekend on October 24 and 25.

Staff will conduct tours at 7:00 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:00 pm.

Admission is $13, and the event is open to attendees who are 12 and older.

The Greenbrier Historical Society is seeking volunteer actors to play ghosts in the cemetery, helping to bring on the scares and the screams.
