Greenbrier Historical Society gearing up for Our Stories: First Friday Lecture Series beginning in June

Lewisburg, WV (WOAY) The Greenbrier Historical Society is once again bringing local history to life with its Our Stories: First Friday Lecture Series. 

The monthly series runs from June through December at the North House Museum in Lewisburg and highlights the people, traditions, and stories that helped shape Appalachia and the Greenbrier and Meadow River Valleys. 

Topics this year include African American quilting traditions, Civil War guerrilla warfare, Appalachian folklore, one-room schoolhouses, ghost stories, and hidden history from western Greenbrier County. 

Lectures will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.

Admission is free, and guests are encouraged to enjoy refreshments and community conversation during the events.
