Greenbrier County updating Comprehensive Plan; Draft available for public comment on August 7

Greenbrier County, WV (WOAY)-Greenbrier County is updating its roadmap for the future, and your input is needed.  

A Draft Comprehensive Plan has been released and will be presented at a Community Open House on Wednesday, August 6, at 3:00 p.m. in the County Commission Courtroom, located at 912 Court Street North in Lewisburg. 

This is your chance to help shape the county’s vision for land use, development, and community priorities.

The event will also be livestreamed on the County Courthouse Facebook page for those who can’t attend in person. 

The last Comprehensive Plan update was back in 2014.

A formal public hearing will take place on August 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the courthouse, where residents can share their comments directly. 

Meanwhile, written feedback is encouraged and can be submitted to the Greenbrier County Planning Commission at the courthouse address. 

Starting August 7, the draft plan will be available to review at the courthouse, county libraries, and online at greenbriercounty.net.
