Greenbrier County, WV (WOAY) – Greenbrier County schools will cut the ribbon at two different locations on September 15, celebrating milestones in major investments in education.
At 10 a.m., Frankford Elementary will cut the ribbon to mark the completion of a seven million dollar renovation and new construction project that brought the school under one roof, added classroom space, improved security, and did away with portable classrooms.
At one thirty p.m., White Sulphur Springs Elementary will celebrate the beginning of a fourteen million dollar modernization project.
The school will improve safety in its main entrance and drop-off areas, add a multipurpose room, HVAC and electrical upgrades, and new windows and roofing.
Greenbrier School Superintendent Jeff Bryant said, “One ceremony celebrates a promise fulfilled, while the other marks the beginning of an exciting new journey. We are grateful to the West Virginia School Building Authority for its partnership and continued investment in the future of Greenbrier County students.”
