GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Greenbrier County has not held in-person classes since March 13, but that hasn’t stopped the nutrition department.
It has been feeding students throughout the summer while preparing for the start of the upcoming school year. The nutrition department will have its full staff available for the start of the school year for the first time since March.
“We’ll be happy to have our cooks back in our kitchens because they’ve been gone,” said Greenbrier County Schools’ Child Nutrition Director Jenny Curry. “I’m looking forward to that, and being able to feed students in their school. But we also have a lot of remote learners that we’re going to have to pack five day meal boxes for.”
There will also be three days of meal boxes per week for secondary students who will be in-person the other two days.
