Greater Beckley Christian School is kicking off its 20th annual fall festival tonight… allowing them to connect with the community, hang out together, enjoy food and games, and even take a hayride.
Entry is free and open to the public… Just walk in the front door and purchase tickets in order to enjoy the festivities.
It’s from 5 to 8 pm at 140 Crusader Drive in Prosperity.
According to Administrator Justin Arvon, it’s a great fundraiser for the school.
“It really goes toward our school’s general budget, which encompasses the whole entire school but it helps offset some of our teacher costs. It helps to boost their income a little bit.,” Arvon says. “Our teachers here are at about half the salary of what other teachers would be at other schools with equal qualifications. This is their ministry. To me they are missionaries and we try to supplant their income as much as we possibly can.”
