Governor’s Computer Science Institute students gain opportunity to code at WVU Tech

Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – Next Summer, Summer 2026, high school students selected from the Governor’s Computer Science Institute will code and more while living like a golden bear on WVU Tech’s campus.

The Department of Education will work with Professor Kenan Hatipoglu, PH.D., and Professor Ranjith Munasinghe, PH.D, to bring 9th and 10th graders to Tech. Here they will learn about computer science, programming, and more.

This will last three summers, giving the kids plenty of time to learn and work with faculty and get a sneak peek at college life.
