Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – Governor Patrick Morrisey says he wants to cut West Virginia’s income tax across the board by at least ten percent.
In a press conference today in Charleston, the Governor said the cut would be offset by increased state revenue. The Governor said he is looking for a cut between five and ten percent, and acknowledged that it may take multiple years for the legislature to get it done.
Morrisey said the cut would make West Virginia more competitive with its neighbors.
