Governor Patrick Morrisey has officially declared a State of Preparedness for all counties in West Virginia.
This will remain in place until December 18th.
The governor has ordered resources and personal to be ready to move and respond to any emergencies that develop and has delegated certain administrative powers to the director of West Virginia Emergency Management Division (WVEMD). This was done to facilitate provision of essential emergency services.
The governor and the WVEMD are asking everyone to remain alert of the weather conditions and follow instructions emergency officials issue.
