Governor Patrick Morrisey annouces that over $21 million has gone into disaster recovery

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY)- Today, Governor Patrick Morrisey announced that more than 4,000 households in West Virginia have received assistance from FEMA after the February 15th flooding. With that, over $21 million has been dispersed to aid those affected by the flooding.

The money given out helps people rebuild homes, replace belongings, reopen businesses, and restore lives. Morrisey says that we’re always stronger when we work together, thanking the Trump administration for working with the state in recovery.

A total of 4,383 households have received assistance, leading to payments totalling almost $21.7 million. Recovery efforts also include support for local businesses and property owners from the Small Business Administration.

The SBA has dispersed $746,100 in low-interest loans as well.
