Governor Morrisey appointed former Fayette County delegate Kayla Kessinger as Secretary of Tourism

State Capitol, WV (WOAY) – Governor Patrick Morrisey has appointed former Fayette County delegate Kayla Kessinger as the new Secretary of Tourism.

Kessinger takes over for Chelsea Ruby, who departed the office after serving in three different administrations.

Kessinger was a four-term delegate and ultimately served as assistant majority leader.

She takes over a department that saw West Virginia tourism generate 9.1 billion dollars and support over 60,000 jobs.

Kessinger said she is blessed to join an already strong team.
