Charleston, WV (WOAY) – Governor Patrick Morrisey announces that the Trump administration has approved his request for a cost-share adjustment with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
As a result, counties that received public assistance after the February floods in southern West Virginia will now be reimbursed at 90% instead of 75%
FEMA public assistance was approved in Greenbrier, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Monroe, Summers, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.
In response to the approval, Governor Morrisey states he is grateful to President Trump and his administration for continuing to step up and help West Virginians affected by February’s flooding.
Morrisey further stated that recovery is a long process, but we will continue working until the job is done.
