Governor candidate delivers food to essential workers

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – This afternoon, candidate for West Virginia governor Woody Thrasher donated food to a local Beckley nursing home.

During the pandemic, Thrasher and his campaign team have been stopping at local hospitals, 911 Centers, and nursing homes across the state to help give back to essential workers.

“We think that it’s a great time to show and to back your words with your actions. And we feel like delivering food shows our appreciation for what they do for us all the time,” said Thrasher.

Thrasher says he’ll continue to deliver food during the pandemic.
