Gov. Justice: School will not reopen until it’s safe, pushing school start date to September

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – Gov. Jim Justice says he is not going to move to open schools in the fall until he is for sure that our schools are going to be safe.

Justice says that a target school start back date will be September 8th.

Gov. Jim Justice says we do not know what the level of exposure would be for our kids or school personnel if we went back.

Gov. Jim Justice says that President Trump is urging us all to get back to school and that he wants all kids to be back in school.  He says the county officials and the State Board of Education are working on a plan and have done a tremendous job of coming up with plans on how to go back to school the safest way.
